With a history in oil trade, including bunker oils and lubricating oils to diesel, Pallas Oil is now only focusing on investing in oil & gas wells in USA. Since the start, Pallas Oil has delivered its bunker fuels to all major ports in Denmark and Norway. Also, the company established itself in the service sector with no less than eight gas stations, from Vassbotten in the north to Kungsbacka in the south. Pallas Oil sold its oil business in 2008 to Swea Energi AB to only focus on bunker fuel and lubricating oil for fishing boats and smaller vessels together with its daughter company Pallas Petroleum. Pallas Petroleum Inc.Pallas Petroleum is our wholly-owned subsidiary in Texas, USA. Its area of expertise is to invest in new drilling oil and gas wells. Currently, the company is a partner in four oil and gas fields. This latest investment is Schiflet 1H with an ROI of about 40%. As operators, we rely on Petromax and Basa Resources, two companies with long experience of oil extraction. We also see gas as part of our future business. |
Eco-consciousness
Pallas Group is working actively to ensure that our vessels have a high profile in the prevention of oil spills and that the crew is trained each month on board in accordance with a particular system which we call 'Ship Board Oil Pollution Plan'. This plan is supervised by the shipping manager, also known as the Designated Person. Furthermore, the tank car drivers are sent on courses that teach them to prevent and deal with possible oil spills during the fuelling of a vessel and so on. For one example, on the Pallas Ocean we only use environmentally-friendly propeller sleeve oil. If there there would be a leak, it does not harm the marine ecosystem as this specific oil is biodegradable. Also, we use non-toxic hull paint and we sort garbage properly on board.
